If you are assigned as a student's advisor in Banner, and that student changes his or her major, you will remain the assigned advisor in Banner until (1) a new advisor is assigned (in the new major) or (2) you are removed as the student's assigned advisor.
Until one of those two occur, in Banner you are still the student's assigned advisor, even though the student is in a new major.
This tool will help you find those situations, so perhaps you can remove yourself as the student's assigned advisor.
Data in the Student Success Portal is updated each morning, so if you remove yourself as an advisor in Banner today, that change will not be reflected in this portal until tomorrow.
The list below shows majors of students for whom you are the assigned advisor (the number of students in each major is shown in parentheses).
Check the majors that are not "yours", and we will display a list of your "mis-assigned" students.
